Available direct from the company, Haiku C fans from Big Ass Fans are on sale for a limited time at 50% off. We thought these products would go no lower than we wrote about back in October, but we were pleasantly proven wrong. Big Ass Fans says these special holiday season deals on selected 52-in. and 60-in. Haiku fans as well as their Garage Light expire in a few days. Simply use the promo code HOLIDAY19 at check-out on the Big Ass Fans website to get the best deals.
The 50% Off Deal: Haiku C Ceiling Fan at $274.50
By far the lowest price we have ever seen for a Haiku C fan, this is the bottom end of the Haiku line but its 52-in. diameter airfoils will silently move the same high volume of air as any other Haiku fan of this size. These fans include airfoils made from hybrid resin, and include Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant integration (though you will need a separate smart speaker) plus a standard Haiku remote control.
The Haiku C fans have onboard Wi-Fi connectivity and are also controllable with the Haiku app. On the downside, these fans are not available with a light kit and the only color choice on sale is white. But at a full 50% off their $549 price, it may well be a selection you can live with.
By the way, we are not affiliated with Big Ass Fans in any fashion and will not receive a commission when you order these products through them. But these are truly outstanding deals on products we personally own and can vouch for. We think you will be highly pleased with these products for any room inside your home. Or even outside your home—ideal for a deck, outdoor kitchen, or veranda.
The 40% Off Deal: Haiku Ceiling Fan at $746.50
The standard Haiku fan in exotic finishes—available with the original bamboo airfoils or myriad varieties of aluminum including brushed aluminum, black (see image at top of this page), white, and others—is at $746.50. That’s a full 40% off their normal $1,244 price in the 52-in size. Still a hefty price to pay, but these high volume, low speed (HVLS) fans are high-quality, precision air movers that make a bold design statement. They are available in indoor or outdoor versions at the same price.
These Haiku models include the company’s premium remote and SenseMe technology (which activates the fan based on motion and environmental conditions). Plus, they are also controllable with the Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice assistants.
Furthermore, they can integrate with ecobee smart thermostats. If you have a Nest thermostat, you are out of luck. The Works with Nest integration is no longer available on these fans, since the Google Nest ecosystem has been reworked to exclusively use the Works with Google Assistant program.
Haiku, Haiku C, and Haiku L fans and lights from Big Ass Fans just got smarter. These high-end products have been uplifted by new integrations with Google Assistant and the Google Home ecosystem. We just tried out the new voice-activation features …
Available in 4,000 K or 5,000 K color temperatures, the Garage Light from Big Ass Fans is an elegant way to light your garage or workshop space. Normally $399, with the holiday deal they are on sale at $239.40, a full 40% off. These lights can be fitted with an optional occupancy sensor, and can be ordered in either hardwired or plug-in versions.
